Services
MoldDog Pros provides mold detection inspections only.
We specialize in K9 mold detection services to locate potential mold odors within accessible areas of a property.
• We do not perform:
• Remediation
• Air testing
• Laboratory testing
• Writing of remediation reports
• Accuracy Disclaimer:
Our dogs are highly trained and accurate, but we cannot guarantee that all mold odors will be detected. Environmental factors, access limitations, and odor diffusion can affect detection.
Scheduling & Cancellations
Appointments can be scheduled online or by phone
A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to secure your appointment
If you cancel your appointment:
The deposit may be applied to a future booking if rescheduled within 3 months.
The deposit may also be transferred to a family member or friend for a future booking within the same 3-month period.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time will forfeit the deposit and it cannot be applied to a future booking.
MoldDog Pros reserves the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to weather, dog safety, or unforeseen circumstances.
Weather and Unforeseen Delays
Our K9 inspections rely on scent detection, which can be affected by extreme weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain, high winds, or excessive heat).
If such conditions occur, MoldDog Pros may reschedule the inspection for the safety and effectiveness of the service.
Inspection Limitations
The K9 can only detect mold odor that is within its range of access.
The inspection is non-invasive. We do not move heavy furniture, open walls, or dismantle structures.
The client must provide clear and unobstructed access to all areas to be inspected.
Any known hazards (e.g., loose pets, unsafe flooring, hazardous materials) must be disclosed in advance.
Our canine inspections are highly accurate but do not replace laboratory mold testing in all cases.
We provide insights and recommendations — we do not perform mold remediation ourselves.
Liability Disclaimer
MoldDog Pros and its representatives are not responsible for:
• Any remediation, remodeling, demolition, or related costs incurred as a result of inspection findings.
• Any property damage caused by the K9 during inspection, including but not limited to scratched cabinets, knocked-over items, or incidental damage.
• Any health decisions or actions taken based on inspection results.
All inspection findings are for informational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional remediation, medical advice, or laboratory testing.
Media Use & Client Consent
MoldDog Pros may capture photos or videos during inspections for educational or promotional purposes.
• The client will not receive compensation for any footage taken.
• MoldDog Pros will never disclose the home’s location, address, or any personally identifying client information.
By scheduling an inspection, you consent to this use unless you provide written opt-out notice before your appointment.
Idemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MoldDog Pros, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities (including attorney’s fees) arising from your use of our services, violation of these Terms, or reliance on inspection results.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• MoldDog Pros shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including property damage, health effects, loss of business, or loss of income.
• Our maximum liability for any claim related to an inspection shall not exceed the amount paid for the service.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good faith negotiation.
If unresolved, disputes shall be settled through binding arbitration under Florida law, and jurisdiction shall lie exclusively in Sarasota County, Florida.
Payment
Pricing is outlined at the time of booking.
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted here with a new effective date.
